It is necessary

  • - medicines (NSAIDs, B vitamins, anti-inflammatory ointments or gels);
  • - physiotherapy;
  • - massage;
  • - exercise therapy.

Step 1

See your doctor for the exact cause of your pain. There can be many reasons that cause low back pain: a violation of the blood supply to a segment in the spinal cord, trauma, intervertebral hernia or protrusion.

The doctor will conduct an initial examination and refer you for additional research. These are MRI of the spine, X-ray, computed tomography.

Step 2

Pass all the prescribed studies, otherwise the exact cause will not be determined and treatment may not help, but only aggravate the picture of the disease.

Step 3

Take all your medications as prescribed by your doctor. Remember that treatment should be comprehensive: medication, massage, exercise therapy. Of the drugs, NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) are preferred. This is the familiar diclofenac (Ortofen, Movalis, Nimesil, Nise and other analogues). In the acute period, the drug is prescribed intramuscularly. Complexes of B vitamins (milgamma or its cheaper analogue combilipen) are prescribed together. Locally, anti-inflammatory ointments such as Diclofenac or Nise are prescribed. Such a course is from five to fourteen days, depending on the clinical manifestations and the severity of the course of osteochondrosis. With severe muscle spasms, midocalm is added to relieve muscle tension.

Step 4

Take a massage course. It will help relieve muscle tension and swelling, due to which the pain syndrome passes. Its action improves microcirculation and promotes a speedy recovery. Massage is an excellent tool for both treatment and prevention. It should be done by a specialist with medical education and a certificate.

Physiotherapy is also widely used in the treatment of osteochondrosis. Electrophoresis with medicinal substances, accelerates their penetration into the affected tissues and increases the effectiveness of treatment.
