Since 2011, according to the law of the Russian Federation, all citizens are switching to a single compulsory medical insurance policy in order to receive free medical care. In this case, you can choose your own insurance company, as well as change it if it does not suit you with something.
It is necessary
- - child's birth certificate or passport
- - SNILS (if any)
- - application to the insurance company
The compulsory medical insurance policy allows you to receive free medical care in public hospitals throughout Russia. It does not matter where you are registered and where you live.
If earlier there were old-style policies that were received either at the place of work or at the place of registration, now a single policy is issued in an insurance company that you choose on your own. And it is indefinite, i.e. it can be replaced only in connection with changes in personal data - surname, place of residence, or because of a change in the insurance company - no more than once a year.
At the birth of a child, it is also necessary to obtain a compulsory medical insurance policy, because without it, it is impossible to serve in a children's clinic and receive free baby food in the first years of life.
To obtain a compulsory medical insurance policy for a child, you can choose an insurance company that will be recommended by the clinic to which you are attached and to which your child will be attached, or make an insurance choice yourself, focusing on your own wishes and recommendations of friends.
After choosing an insurance company, you must provide a child's birth certificate, SNILS - if you already have one, and write a statement.
After accepting the application, you will be issued a temporary policy, which makes it possible to receive services free of charge in medical institutions. He has all the powers like a permanent one. Somewhere in a month from the insurance company, you can already pick up a permanent compulsory medical insurance policy, which has no validity period.
If the child already had an old-style policy, then the process of obtaining a new policy remains the same. All documents are provided to the insurance company: a passport (birth certificate), SNILS (if any) and an application, and a new policy is also obtained. A copy of it is given to the clinic where they are attached, and the old policy becomes invalid.
