Excessive accumulation of gas in the intestines is called flatulence. Usually this condition causes a lot of inconvenience: belching, bloating, painful sensations appear. Most often, the culprit is malnutrition, but there are cases where the cause lies in gastrointestinal diseases.

It is necessary

  • - chamomile;
  • - lemon balm;
  • - Dill seeds.

Step 1

Adjust your diet. Eat more fiber-rich foods like vegetables, fruits, whole grains. However, not all of the above is useful for flatulence. Legumes, cabbage, dried fruits, plums and apples increase gas production. Therefore, they should be limited or even completely excluded from the diet.

Step 2

Chew food thoroughly, do not eat on the go. Excessive swallowing of air often occurs from improper nutrition.

Step 3

Mix equal proportions of dill seeds, lemon balm and chamomile. Pour boiling water over the mixture at the rate of 3 teaspoons of herbs per 100 ml of water. Wait 15 minutes, then strain the finished infusion. Drink half a glass as needed. If flatulence bothers you often, take a course of treatment with this remedy (2-3 doses per day for 2 weeks).

Step 4

Take medications for flatulence. These include funds based on simethicone (Espumisan, Sub Simplex), which destroys gas bubbles and facilitates their removal. No less effective and drugs based on domperidone ("Motilium", "Motilak"). Activated carbon can be used as an aid.

Step 5

If increased gas production constantly bothers you, consult a gastroenterologist. Perhaps the reason lies not in poor nutrition, but in the lack of digestive enzymes. The process of food breakdown in this case slows down, resulting in the formation of excess gas. Lack of enzymes can be replenished with medication.
