Thermal burns on the skin are caused by exposure to boiling water, hot fat, flame or hot metal. To quickly get rid of the burn, reduce pain and prevent tissue swelling, use valuable recommendations. But remember that only small superficial burns can be treated at home; if a wound is infected and pus is present, immediately seek help from a medical institution.
It is necessary
- - Oak bark;
- - gauze;
- - urine;
- - interior pork fat;
- - spruce resin;
- - beeswax;
- - lime.
Oak bark is an excellent remedy for many troubles, so it is a must to have it in your home medicine cabinet. Without wasting time with a burn, prepare the following broth: take a tablespoon of oak bark and pour a glass of boiling water, put on the stove and simmer for eight minutes. Strain the cooled broth and moisten a piece of gauze in it, apply to the skin affected by the burn. Change the lotion three to four times a day, leave the compress overnight, bandage with a bandage. This method is also suitable for sunburn.
If you get a severe burn, immediately immerse the burned surface of the skin in cold water, hold for ten to fifteen minutes. Then apply a gauze bandage, note that the bandage must be sterile. Call an ambulance as you may need a skin graft if the injury is severe. In no case do not apply ice to the burned area, this can lead to cell death and, as a result, not to restore the skin in the future.
If you get burned, take action immediately. If it affects a small area of the skin surface, use an old folk remedy - urine. It is considered an excellent remedy for burns, urine contains bile acid, which destroys and absorbs damaged skin cells, and urea, which has antiseptic properties. Moisten a gauze bandage with urine and apply to the burned surface, periodically moisten the bandage, do not let it dry. Even with severe burns, urine prevents skin scars.
Make a burn ointment at home. To do this, mix one hundred grams of interior lard, one hundred grams of spruce resin and one hundred grams of beeswax. Put the mixture to warm in a water bath, boil. Gently rinse the wound with lime water (to prepare it, dissolve a tablespoon of lime in a liter of lukewarm water) and apply a gauze bandage with the prepared ointment. Even the most severe wounds are healed after three to five such procedures.
