Oak bark has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect on the intestines, helps to strengthen the stool. Once in the body, tannins interact with proteins and form a protective film that protects the gastrointestinal tract from local irritation. Oak bark can help with diarrhea, gastrointestinal bleeding, mushroom poisoning, spleen and liver diseases. The remedy also helps with diarrhea caused by infectious diseases.
Oak bark can be used even in babies (in the form of enemas). To prepare the infusion, pour boiling water over the dry oak bark and chamomile and leave in a thermos for half an hour. Strain the warm infusion, add valerian and give an enema. For the treatment of diarrhea in adults, an infusion of oak bark is used for oral administration. Pour boiled cold water over dry oak bark, leave for 9 hours and strain. Take an infusion of bark during the day for 1-2 tsp. You can do an enema.
For diarrhea, alcohol tincture on oak bark is effective. To prepare it, grind the raw materials, fill with vodka or alcohol, leave to infuse for a week. Take 20 drops twice a day. Tincture of oak bark with alcohol not only helps to get rid of diarrhea, but also promotes the functioning of the intestines and other digestive organs.
For chronic diarrhea, prepare a decoction from oak bark. Add 1 tsp. raw materials in 300 ml of hot water and leave to simmer for 10 minutes. Cool the broth and strain. Take 1 tbsp. l. three times a day. In case of severe diarrhea, put 100 g of oak bark in 3 liters of hot water, boil for 30 minutes. Leave for half an hour, strain. Drink 1 glass of broth three times a day. This remedy should not be taken longer than 3 days, otherwise constipation may appear.
It is not recommended to use oak bark for diarrhea with a tendency to constipation, hemorrhoids. Do not take a decoction or infusion for a long time. You should consult your doctor before using oak bark to treat diarrhea caused by serious gastrointestinal diseases. Oak bark has no contraindications, except for hypersensitivity. However, during pregnancy and lactation, this remedy is used after medical advice. Side effects of the drug include the possible occurrence of allergic reactions.
