Evamenol is a combined drug for the treatment of acute and chronic rhinitis. The product contains two active components: levomenthol, which has a local irritating and anesthetic effect, and eucalyptus oil, which has an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect. Evamenol is available in the form of a nasal ointment.

Step 1

The drug can be used for the symptomatic treatment of rhinitis of any origin, including that arising from colds, infectious and allergic diseases. Also, the ointment can be used for sinusitis to restore normal nasal breathing.

Step 2

"Evamenol" constricts the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa, eliminates the inflammatory process, has a mild anesthetic effect, and also exhibits a moderate antiseptic effect, relieving the main symptoms of the common cold. The tool stimulates the receptors of the nasal mucosa, eliminating the most unpleasant manifestation of the common cold - nasal congestion. The ointment has a mild effect, without overdrying the mucous membrane and without obstructing breathing, therefore it can serve as an alternative to some drugs produced in the form of drops or sprays.

Step 3

Ointment "Evamenol" should be applied in a small amount to the mucous membranes of the nose 2 or 3 times a day, avoiding contact with the eyes and mouth. The duration of treatment is 5 to 10 days. The drug is not used in case of hypersensitivity to the components and for the treatment of children under 2 years of age. Side effects of "Evamenol" can manifest themselves in the form of allergic reactions. When treating, it should be borne in mind that the likelihood of developing an allergy to the components of the drug increases with too frequent or prolonged use.

Step 4

The nasal ointment "Evamenol" contains natural ingredients, so it can be used to treat children who have reached the age of two. However, before using the ointment, it is recommended to check it for individual tolerance: apply a little of the drug on a small area of the child's skin and monitor the reaction. If there is no redness, treatment can be started. Also, the ointment is allowed to be used during pregnancy without restrictions on dosage and duration of use.

Step 5

"Evamenol" can be used in combination with other drugs prescribed for colds, infectious and allergic diseases. The drug has no significant drug interactions with any other medications.

Ointment "Evamenol" is a symptomatic drug that can be dispensed from pharmacies without a doctor's prescription. The product should be stored for no more than 24 months at a temperature of 20 ° C.
