The most common nail disease is onychomycosis, a fungal infection of the nail plate. The disease begins from the free or lateral edge of the nail, in the thickness of which round or strip-like spots appear, most often, yellowish in color. The nail is thickened, destroyed, and this process gradually spreads to the entire nail plate. Treatment of onychomycosis is long-term, and the methods of traditional medicine are much more effective than drug treatment.

It is necessary

  • - glycerin;
  • - vinegar 70%;
  • - iodine tincture 5%;
  • - vegetable oil;
  • - an egg;
  • - dimethyl phthalate;
  • - rowan leaves.

Step 1

Take a 25 gram pharmacy bottle of glycerin and add 70% vinegar to the top of the bottle. After stirring the mixture, apply it to the soles of the feet that have been steamed and treated with pumice. Apply a napkin dipped in the prepared solution on your nails and fix it with a bandage, which you keep for 2-3 hours. Perform the procedures at least 3 times a week for 3 months (until a new nail plate grows).

Step 2

Apply a drop of iodine solution to the nails of all fingers with a pipette, when it dries, cover the nails with colorless varnish. After a week, remove the rest of the varnish with a liquid to remove it, and file the nail plates with a nail file on top and fill it with iodine again. Cut off the regrown nail and varnish again. Perform the procedures until the entire nail plate is replaced.

Step 3

Apply iodine alcohol tincture daily to nails, cutting off the growing ones every 7-10 days. If a burning sensation occurs, iodine can be applied every two days. Complete the course of treatment after cleansing the nail plate from streaks and thickenings.

Step 4

To prepare an effective antifungal agent, take a tablespoon of vegetable oil, chicken yolk of domestic chickens, and a teaspoon of dimethyl phthalate (pharmaceutical preparation). Mix the components thoroughly and lubricate the nails affected by the fungus with this composition. Then put plastic bags and socks on your feet. Perform the procedure daily at night for 4-5 days. Store the mixture in the refrigerator.

Step 5

Traditional healers recommend using mountain ash leaves for the treatment of nail fungus. Grind fresh leaves of red mountain ash, mixing with an equal amount of vinegar 70%, leave for 5-7 days, then strain and mix the filtrate with honey in a 4: 1 ratio. Lubricate the nails with the prepared composition every day 2-3 times a day for 2-3 months.
