Herpes is a viral disease that often affects the lips. An unpleasant burning sensation is replaced by the appearance of watery rashes, in the place of which a sore with a bright color forms after a couple of days. Without treatment, a scar may appear, which, you see, looks ugly. If you have herpes on your lip, you can get rid of it both with improvised means and with medication.
Treatment of herpes on the lips
At the first manifestations of herpes, "Acyclovir", "Genferon" in the form of injections or suppositories, "Cycloferon" in tablets and other similar drugs help well. Before using them, it is advisable to consult a doctor. As a last resort, follow the directions in the instructions for use.
Lubricate the affected area with Acyclovir ointment 3-4 times a day. If this is not possible, use the product in the morning and evening. Try not to touch the skin affected by the virus, and even more so do not tear off the scab.
With herpes on the lips, if the sore becomes very wet, you can lubricate the skin with iodine. Unfortunately, this option, although effective, is only suitable when you do not need to go to work, because iodine leaves characteristic brown spots.
Some people find it helpful to lubricate the affected skin with heart drops. For this purpose, "Corvalol", "Valocordin" or "Valoserdin" are suitable.
Try not to drink alcohol during treatment, as it helps to reduce immunity. Take vitamin complexes fortified with minerals. On average, herpes on the lips disappears in 4-7 days, in some cases in 10-14 days. The rate of skin epithelization depends on the individual characteristics of the organism.
