One of the more popular diets is the Atkinson Diet, also known as the carb-free diet. It is rightfully considered one of the most effective. Its essence lies in a significant reduction in high-carbohydrate foods in the diet, such as sugary drinks, bread, flour and confectionery. At the same time, the body begins to receive energy from proteins and fats, which allows you to start shedding extra pounds almost immediately. This diet is so effective that nutritionists recommend using it under the supervision of specialists.

The first two weeks during this diet, it is necessary to reduce the number of consumed carbohydrates to 20 grams per day (nothing to be done - you have to count). 20 grams of carbs is about one slice of bread, or a medium-sized apple, or half a banana. This will allow you to lose 8-10 kilograms, which will immediately cheer up and give the necessary motivation to continue.

In the future, the amount of carbohydrates can be increased to 100-120 grams per day. To comply with this norm, it is necessary to completely exclude any fruits, bread, cereals, cereals from the diet. But any kind of meat and seafood, eggs, and also vegetables are permissible and welcomed in any quantity. The main advantages of this diet are: rapid weight loss, lack of strong appetite starting from the second day, absence of muscle breakdown due to the large amount of proteins in the diet. However, there are disadvantages: the risk of developing certain diseases (problems with the heart, bone tissue, kidneys, gallbladder), bad breath, the risk of depression.

A low-fat diet is slightly less effective, but has found an overwhelmingly positive response in vegetarians. Its supporters propose to reduce the consumed fat to a minimum, which sounds quite logical given its excess in the body. It will not be possible to completely abandon fat, because it is contained in almost all products. However, this is not worth doing, because fats, especially polyunsaturated fats, are still needed by our body. To reduce the fat content of the diet, you should switch to low-fat foods, but in this case, do not forget about the use of multivitamins and fish oil.

The good thing about this diet is that it can be used all the time without making major changes in lifestyle. However, you should be prepared for the fact that low-fat food may seem completely tasteless to an unprepared person.
