The main reasons for bloating after eating are the ingress of a sufficiently large volume of gases and air when swallowing food or liquid, human consumption of food that forms gases, lactose deficiency, diseases of the digestive system, intestinal dysbiosis and intestinal motility disorders, various mechanical obstacles formed on the intestinal walls and other factors.

It is for this reason that it is not recommended to talk while eating, as the incoming amount of air aggravates the situation. Various carbonated drinks, which contain carbon dioxide, lead to the feeling of fullness in the stomach and bloating after eating. In old age, due to a decrease in the production of an enzyme necessary for the normal digestion of lactose, systematic bloating can also occur. With many diseases of the digestive system, fewer useful enzymes are produced, as a result of which food is not processed at certain times, the process of decay and fermentation of food debris begins.

To diagnose bloating after eating, you need to closely monitor your health and the body as a whole. The most common symptoms of bloating are belching, heartburn, and other unpleasant symptoms. As a rule, an experienced specialist can, with the help of simple studies, accurately determine the diagnosis and prescribe the necessary treatment. To determine the disease, they conduct a detailed ultrasound examination (mainly of the abdominal organs), gastroscopy, colonoscopy, take a blood test, feces analysis and use other methods of examining the human body.

Bloating after eating becomes common during pregnancy. This is due to the fact that the pancreas is not able to produce the same amount of enzymes, and many types of food are less assimilated by a woman at this stage.

The next case in which bloating occurs is surgery. Therefore, after laparoscopic operations, unpleasant sensations appear in the chest, abdomen, which is due to the effect of the injected gas used during the operation. In this case, it is necessary to follow a diet, refuse carbonated drinks with the addition of dyes, chewing gum and products that enhance the fermentation process in the intestine. The specialist prescribes enzyme preparations that activate the pancreas.

Bloating may also appear after sex, since during the act, a sufficiently large volume of air enters the abdominal cavity through the genitals, which leads to various unpleasant consequences. As a rule, the symptoms go away on their own (without special treatment) after a short amount of time.

There are folk remedies for bloating:

- dandelion roots (grind a couple of teaspoons of roots, insist in a glass of water and consume 50-60 ml 3-4 times daily before meals);

- parsley fruits (pour 20 g with a glass of water, take several tablespoons orally 4-5 times throughout the day);

- dill seeds (pour 1 tablespoon with 1, 5 cups of hot water, let it brew for about 30-40 minutes, strain through a fine sieve or cheesecloth and drink half a glass three times a day);

- wormwood (pour a couple of teaspoons of dried herbs with a glass of boiling water, take a tablespoon daily, 3 times about half an hour before meals);

- carrot seeds (chop the seeds and take a teaspoon three times during the day);

- elecampane roots (pour 25 g of grass roots with a liter of hot water and take when unpleasant symptoms appear).
