Inflammation of the gums or gingivitis often occurs against the background of internal health problems, namely vitamin deficiency, decreased immunity, disorders of the nervous, digestive and endocrine systems. However, an equally common cause is inadequate or inadequate dental care. But since it is not always possible to establish the exact cause, it is worthwhile to carry out a comprehensive general and local treatment.
- - medicinal toothpaste;
- - oak bark, lime blossom, sage, chamomile, conifer broth for mouthwash;
- - fir oil for lotions;
- - multivitamins.
Gum repair cannot be successful in the presence of tooth decay or tartar. Therefore, first of all, contact your dentist and, if necessary, undergo appropriate treatment. In addition, take proper care of your oral cavity. For cleansing, use the paste recommended by your doctor. After each meal, floss your teeth and rinse your mouth. For bleeding gums, rinse with medicated herbal teas that have an astringent effect, such as oak bark.
Since vitamin deficiency is one of the main causes of gum disease, adjust your diet. Enrich it with raw vegetables, fruits, fresh juices, especially carrot juices, as well as cereals, gray bread, milk, kefir and cottage cheese. In addition, take extra vitamins, especially C and K, as part of a multivitamin complex. It is these organic compounds that are responsible for the strength of the blood vessel walls and prevent bleeding of the gums.
For the duration of gum treatment, avoid foods that irritate the oral mucosa - spicy, hard, salty and hot. And to prevent gingivitis, eliminate or limit the use of starch and sugar. These foods contribute to the elimination of many beneficial vitamins and minerals and ultimately lead to their deficiency. Moreover, they contribute to the development of caries, the deposition of tartar, a violation of the microflora of the oral cavity and intestines, a shift in acid-base balance and a decrease in immunity.
As prescribed by a doctor, for local treatment of gums, use gels, ointments, tinctures "Romazulan", "Hexoral", "Traumeel", "Imudon". Combine them with traditional medicine - herbal decoctions, fir or garlic oil, vegetable and berry juices. For rinsing, use a decoction of linden blossom with oak bark (1: 2), chamomile, string, fresh blueberry juice, infusion of coniferous needles. Alternate daily rubbing your gums with a clove of garlic cut in half and a sprinkle of fir oil. Moisten gauze in it and apply to the inflamed areas of the gums for 10 minutes. Repeat daily for 2-3 weeks. Repeat the course 6 months later.
Be sure to finger massage your gums. It improves blood circulation and, due to this, quickly relieves the inflammatory process. After thoroughly washing your hands, place your thumb and forefinger on the gums and from the center, direct them in opposite directions in a circular motion. Repeat in the morning and evening for 4-5 minutes. After the massage, rinse your mouth with a decoction of oregano, sage, eucalyptus, while passing the solution through your teeth.
