At the same time, it is very important to keep a female calendar, marking the days on which the probability of conception becomes maximum.

Long-awaited pregnancy
Long-awaited pregnancy

Each cycle in the ovaries of the female body matures one follicle, which can become a fetus after conception. The first day of menstruation is considered the first day of the cycle, which is divided into three phases: follicular, ovulation and luteal. The follicular phase begins from the first day of menstruation, ovulation occurs 10-12 days after the onset of follicular, and the luteal phase - 12-16 days after the onset of ovulation.

"Dangerous" days

At the time of ovulation, the mature follicle ruptures, and the released egg enters the fallopian tube. It is there, when it encounters a sperm, its fertilization takes place. The fertilized egg then travels through the fallopian tubes into the uterus and attaches itself to the wall. In the absence of fertilization, the egg dies and is excreted by the body along with menstrual flow. Sperm can live in a woman's body for up to five days. The most favorable days for conceiving a child are considered five days before ovulation and the day after. The safest option for getting pregnant is on the day of ovulation.

According to the lunar calendar, the best day for conception is the day of the moon phase, when the woman herself was born. Therefore, it all depends on the date of birth of the expectant mother.

Methods for determining ovulation

A woman should always keep a calendar of menstruation. With its help, you can find out the approximate date of the next menstruation, as well as calculate the best time for conception. If the cycle lasts on average 28 days, and the duration of menstruation, for example, 5 days, then the most favorable will be from 12 to 17 days of the cycle, plus or minus 2-3 days.

Measuring basal body temperature is the most common method for determining the days of conception. Under the influence of various hormones during the cycle, it is different. It is measured in the mouth, in the rectum and in the vagina. In the morning, waking up and not getting out of bed, measure the temperature and mark it on the basal temperature chart. In the first 10-12 days of the cycle, the temperature fluctuates at the level of 36, 2-36, 7оС, in the last 14 days before menstruation, it drops to 35, 9-36, 2оС. On the border between these two phases, ovulation occurs, which is manifested by a decrease in temperature by 0.3 degrees on the first day, and in the next two days by an increase of 0.6 degrees, in comparison with the first phase.

The day on which the upper peak of the basal temperature graph falls is the most "dangerous" when conception is most likely.

The easiest way to catch ovulation at home is to use a rapid test. The most common tests determine ovulation in urine. You need to lower the test into a container of urine for a few seconds and wait for the result for 3-5 minutes. The accuracy of these tests is 99%.

For a favorable conception 3-5 days before ovulation, it is worth refraining from intercourse. A favorable posture for conception for a woman is considered "lying on her back", with her legs slightly raised. And also the knee-elbow position can facilitate the passage of sperm into the uterus through the cervical canal.

Using these methods in combination, you can accurately find out favorable days and achieve the desired result.
