Solpadein helps relieve pain and fever. The medication contains two active ingredients - paracetamol and caffeine. Paracetamol acts on the centers of pain and thermoregulation in the central nervous system, and caffeine enhances the effect of an analgesic, relieves drowsiness and fatigue, and increases efficiency. The positive effect in most cases is observed 2-3 hours after taking the drug.

Indications and instructions for use

Doctors prescribe Solpadein tablets in a number of cases. The medication helps to get rid of the following unpleasant symptoms:

  • headaches and migraines;
  • toothache;
  • muscle and joint pain;
  • sore throat;
  • menstrual pain.

Often, the drug is prescribed for colds and flu as an antipyretic agent.

The recommended dosage of "Solpadein" for adults and children over 12 years old is 1-2 tablets three times a day. At least 4 hours should pass between doses of the drug. The duration of the course is 5 days if the medication is used as an anesthetic, and 3 days when the agent is taken to lower body temperature.

Soluble (effervescent) tablets are diluted in 100 ml of water. The film-coated tablets are washed down. The use of the medication does not have to be combined with food intake.

The price of the drug and analogues

Pain relievers are available over the counter in pharmacies. The exception is "Solpadein" in the form of capsules, which contains codeine. The cost of the drug directly depends on the form of release, the number of tablets in the package, as well as the markup of pharmacy chains. For 12 effervescent tablets "Solpadein" will have to pay about 200 rubles. The same amount of medication in the form of film-coated tablets will cost less - 100–120 rubles.

The drug has analogues. The cheapest of them are Pentalgin-N, Spazgan and Ibuprofen. These drugs also have side effects and contraindications. Before use, you must read the instructions and consult a specialist.
