Inflammation of the lymphoid tissue can spread to the tonsils. And depending on the state of the immune system, the process is quite capable of turning into purulent and giving severe complications to various organs. But if a full and comprehensive treatment is carried out in a timely manner, then full recovery can be expected in a week.
- - boric acid, furacilin or potassium permanganate for washing the tonsils;
- - decoction of chamomile, pine needles, sage, eucalyptus or rosemary for gargling;
- - alcohol, water, gauze, oilcloth, cotton wool and bandage for compress;
- - vitamins, rosehip decoction, honey to enhance immunity;
- - infusion of birch, blackberry or raspberry for oral administration.
Treatment of angina should be comprehensive, including both a local effect on the inflamed tonsils, and general strengthening of the body. Therefore, stay in bed, drink warm vitamin drinks often and a lot, eat food in pureed or liquid form and in small quantities, take vitamins, do warm foot and general baths (if there is no temperature) and compresses on the neck, gargle.
To cleanse the tonsils with sore throat, first gargle with disinfectants. These include boric acid (0.5 or 1 tsp per glass of water), furacilin solution (0.5 per 1 l of water) and potassium permanganate (1: 2000). And only after them, use weak solutions of astringent and anti-inflammatory herbs for rinsing - sage, chamomile, eucalyptus, rosemary. Repeat this procedure 2-3 times a day for two weeks, even after the disappearance of all visible signs of the disease. In addition to traditional throat gargles, you can use beet juice, onion peel decoction, and honey water.
To warm up the tonsils several times a day, make a compress on the neck, preferably alcohol. Dissolve 70 ml of alcohol in 200 ml of water. Moisten an oblong gauze folded in several layers in it. In a slightly squeezed form, attach it to the back of the neck, cover with oilcloth, then cotton or woolen cloth, and for better fixation and tight fit of the compress, wrap the neck over your head. Leave it on for 3-4 hours and after a 2 hour break, repeat again.
For oral administration in the treatment of angina, use an infusion of birch branches. To prepare it, crush several branches with buds, pour boiling water and leave for 1 hour, then drink in small sips. A decoction of blackberries or raspberries is no less effective. Boil the leaves and drink warm instead of tea. Aloe syrup is very useful. To prepare it, fill the jar with half-crushed aloe leaves, fill the rest with granulated sugar. Tie the neck with gauze and leave for 3 days. Store wrung out and strained. Take 1 tbsp syrup. l. 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals.
To increase immunity, be sure to take vitamins, especially vitamin C, drink rosehip decoction with honey (1 teaspoon per glass of broth), take hot foot baths with mustard.
In case of ulcerative sore throat, treat the tonsils with 1% Lugol's solution. And besides this, as prescribed by a doctor, be sure to take a course of antibiotic therapy. Do not interrupt the treatment even if the signs of angina appear to improve and disappear, since the residual effects of the disease can cause serious complications.
