Proper nutrition for cholecystitis

Patients with cholecystitis should eat as often as possible, but in small portions. It is recommended to make a diet with the specified time for meals. This is very important as the bile must not stagnate. The intake of food into the body by the hour is a choleretic agent. The abuse of confectionery products is excluded. Do not overeat at all, this can cause spasms of the biliary tract, which will only increase the pain.

The main sources of protein are: fish, milk, bread, meat, cottage cheese and cheese. All of these products are useful for cholecystitis. But at the same time, low-fat varieties of fish and meat (chickens, pike perch, navaga, beef, cod, carp, pike) should be included in the diet. The way of cooking is also of great importance. Fish and meat dishes must be steamed or in water, then all substances irritating the liver will pass into broth, which should not be consumed during an exacerbation. Be sure to remove veins and films from the meat, free the chicken from the skin.

In the diet for cholecystitis, preference should be given to products that lower cholesterol levels: cereals, olive oil, nuts. Even alcohol in this case is not considered an evil enemy, a small glass of dry red wine significantly reduces blood cholesterol, so the drink can be included in the diet. Add turmeric to dishes, the seasoning is able to stop the inflammatory processes of the gallbladder, stimulates the contraction of its walls.

It is allowed to consume patients with pancreatitis: no more than two eggs per week; berries and sweet fruits; from flour products only stale; 15-20 grams of butter per day; small amounts of cream and sour cream; 50-70 grams of sugar per day; vegetable oil; vegetables (tomatoes, beets, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, zucchini, cucumbers and eggplants).
