Proponents of hardening talk a lot about the benefits of walking barefoot. They urge everyone to immediately take off their shoes and go to walk in dew, sand and even snow. Doctors are very wary of such issues. They argue that tempering should be done in moderation. Before you start walking barefoot in the snow, you need to prepare your body for the upcoming stress.

There is a benefit

Aparin, Candidate of Medical Sciences, conducted a number of studies under the guidance of Professor Boenko. The research results can be found in the published writings of Aparin. The scientists recruited groups of people (250 people) between the ages of 17 and 70. The groups went through an intensive hardening course: they often walked barefoot for a long time, went on weekend hikes and studied at home.

After a while, people began to walk in the snow and jog on the ice. As a result of studies, it turned out that in those people who had been tempered for more than a year, with a sharp cooling of the legs, an increase in the temperature of the skin surface began to be observed. In the newcomers, the increase was of a short-term nature and was quickly replaced by a sharp drop in temperature.

From this, the scientists concluded that people who practice walking barefoot in the snow have an excellent "built-in" thermoregulation mechanism. Even with strong heat transfer, the body compensates for the loss of energy by increasing the production of heat. In hardened people, over time, immunity to influenza and SARS is revealed, while non-hardened people quickly become supercooled with a sharp change in temperature.

It was noted that walking barefoot also has a beneficial effect on people with flat feet. During walks, the muscles of the foot contract reflexively, ligaments, tendons and muscles are strengthened. Thus, walking barefoot has a general strengthening effect on the body and helps to fight many diseases.

How to train

Any hardening should be carried out gradually, giving the body an opportunity to get used to new conditions. Those people who have never walked barefoot should start by walking in light socks and not on the snow, but on the floor of their own apartment. After a month, you can go to the yard and start walking on earthen ground, grass. During the summer period, the body will become hardened, and with the onset of cold weather, it will be possible to try to go out on frost and snow.

You can go out into the cold only after the body has been warmed up with the help of physical exercises. These exercises should be carried out in a warm room. In order for the legs to experience increased stress, it is recommended to practice bouncing running. Having warmed up properly, you can go out on frozen ground, ice or snow.

The first exit should last no more than one minute. During this minute, you need to continuously move: run, stomp, jump. Then you should return to the heated room and continue the gymnastics, after the exercises, massage the feet or intensively pat the feet with your palms until they turn red.
