A person suffering from low blood pressure is called a hypotonic person. The disease is manifested by weakness, drowsiness, dizziness, as well as impaired thermoregulation and performance. Hypotension does not cause fatal consequences, however, in order to normalize well-being, it is important to be able to recognize this condition in time and help the hypotension.
Hypotension can be caused by nervous tension, malnutrition, infection, trauma, or cardiovascular disease. The lower the blood pressure level, the worse the hypotonic person feels. In the absence of timely assistance, a mild headache can be replaced by migraine, and in severe cases, frequent complications of the disease are nausea, shortness of breath and even fainting.
In mild cases, when the pressure does not drop below 90/60 mm Hg, a cup of strong black coffee can relieve the hypotonic condition. It increases the tone of blood vessels, eliminates drowsiness and normalizes performance. However, do not drink liters of coffee: an overdose is fraught with increased heart rate, arrhythmia, increased irritability and insomnia.
An alternative to coffee can be natural stimulants such as tincture of Eleutherococcus, Schisandra, or ginseng. They should be taken at the first signs of hypotension, as well as if there is a predisposition to it. To normalize the pressure, 15-25 drops of tincture are most often enough, however, in severe cases, the dosage can be doubled.
With a sharp deterioration in health, a hot shower will help hypotonic. First of all, you need to warm up the chest, shoulders and head. Hot water promotes vasodilation and acceleration of blood flow, and this, in turn, leads to an increase in blood pressure by 20-30 mm Hg.
Still, the best way to treat hypotension is to prevent it. A healthy lifestyle, moderate physical activity, good nutrition and adequate sleep will help to avoid pressure drops. In a severe course of the disease, drug therapy may be required, and therefore a hypotensive, even in a state of remission, must be monitored by a cardiologist without fail.
