During pregnancy, hormonal ointments are used only in exceptional cases. They are prescribed for very acute inflammatory processes, when other drugs do not have a therapeutic effect. They are also used if a woman has used these funds earlier, and when canceled, an exacerbation has occurred. External hormonal drugs for the treatment of dermatitis include: "Advantan", "Flucinar", "Fucicort", etc.

Step 3

"Advantan" should be applied to the affected skin once a day. Continuous regular use of the ointment for children is no more than 4 weeks, and for adults - no more than 12 weeks. The active substance of the drug is methylprednisolone aceponate. The drug is usually well tolerated. In rare cases, local allergic reactions (burning, itching, rash), folliculitis are observed. "Advantan" is contraindicated in viral skin lesions, rosacea, perioral dermatitis in the area of application of the drug, in children under 4 months of age, in case of skin manifestations in the form of a reaction to vaccination.

The dose should not exceed 2 g / day. The duration of the course of treatment is no more than 1-2 weeks. In children over 2 years of age, "Flucin" is used with caution: on small areas of the skin, once a day.

Step 5

The drug is contraindicated for acne, fungal, bacterial, viral and tumor skin lesions. Side effects of the ointment include: atrophy of the skin and subcutaneous fat, delayed healing of wounds and ulcerative lesions, epithelialization disorders, striae, maculopapular skin rash, baldness in women.

Step 6

For dermatitis with concomitant bacterial infections, Fucicort is prescribed. Its active ingredients are: fusidic acid hemihydrate (polycyclic antibiotic) and betamethasone valerate (glucocorticosteroid). Adults and children need to apply the drug in a thin layer to the affected areas 2-3 times a day. The course of therapy should not last longer than 2 weeks.
