Fungus of the feet and nails is a very unpleasant disease. The greatest probability of infection with the fungus exists in public places: baths, changing rooms, showers. It also increases the likelihood of contracting the fungus from one family member to another. The fungus can cause burning, itching, and dryness of the feet. There are several home remedies to fight fungus.
Hygiene. Always wear clean socks. Wash them with hot water and high quality detergent. It is advisable to iron the socks with a hot iron after washing to improve disinfection.
Shoes. The choice of footwear plays a very important role, since the footwear should not only be comfortable, but also have good air ventilation so that the feet do not sweat. Choose shoes made from natural materials. Use talcum powder.
Vinegar and tea tree oil are the most effective and common remedies for treating fungus. Prepare a solution of water with vinegar, soak your feet in this water for about 20 minutes. Then dry your feet and rub them with tea tree oil. It has antifungal properties and kills germs.
Garlic. Press a few cloves of garlic through a garlic press, and then rub this garlic paste into clean skin of your feet. Put on cotton socks and leave overnight. Repeat this procedure every night until complete recovery.
