According to statistics, about 360 million people worldwide suffer from hearing loss. Previously, it was believed that the main cause of this ailment is simply the aging of the body, but not very long ago, employees of one of the women's hospitals in Boston revealed one pattern, namely: large body weight and excessive waist circumference directly affect female deafness. And that to reduce the risk of this problem to a minimum, it is possible only with the help of sports and physical activity.

For their research, scientists used data from 68 thousand women who participated in the experiment from 1989 to 2009. Scientists have monitored their BMI and physical activity for 20 years. And during the survey, it turned out that many of them complained of hearing loss.

Scientists summed up the results, and this is what they got: women with a BMI of 30-34 had a risk of hearing loss only 17%, and those with a BMI over 40 had a risk higher than 25%. Those women who had a BMI below 25 were not at risk of hearing loss. Well, ladies with a waistline of less than 71 centimeters have absolutely nothing to fear.

Also, experts have noticed that the higher the level of physical activity, the lower the risk of hearing loss. If you walk for 2 hours every day in the fresh air, then the level of risk is reduced by at least 15%. So watch your excess weight so that it does not harm. Good luck!
