Signs and forms of tonsillitis

The tonsils perform a protective function, protecting the body from various microbes and viruses. Weakened immunity leads to a decrease in this function, as a result of which the infection affects the respiratory system. The acute form of tonsillitis is characterized by severe sore throat, sore throat, general weakness, headaches, etc. It has a second name - angina.

With the transition to the chronic form, there is a slight increase in the tonsils without acute pain in the throat. Both forms require compulsory treatment, otherwise the kidneys and the cardiovascular system are affected.
