In most cases, motion sickness in transport occurs due to irritation of the untrained vestibular apparatus. Symptoms of motion sickness include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, increased salivation, and pale skin. Symptoms usually disappear after traffic stops. There are some simple home remedies that can help prevent motion sickness.

Instructions
Step 1
Apple cider vinegar has an alkaline pH balance, which can help with motion sickness. Mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and one tablespoon of honey in a glass of warm water. Stir well and drink slowly half an hour before your trip.

Step 2
The menthol in peppermint soothes abdominal muscles and relieves nausea. Have a cup of strong mint tea before your trip. Just add one tablespoon of dried peppermint leaves to a glass of boiling water. Brew for half an hour, strain and your tea is ready. You can sweeten it with honey. Keep mints handy when you travel. You can also put a few drops of peppermint oil on a handkerchief and inhale the scent whenever you need to ward off nausea.
Note: Peppermint may interact with some medications, so check with your doctor.

Step 3
Lemons and lemon juice contain citric acid, which can help reduce nausea and vomiting while traveling. Even the scent of lemon can bring relief. Mix the freshly squeezed juice of one lemon in a glass of warm boiled water. You can add a spoonful of honey and mix well. Drink slowly before traveling. You can also take such a drink or lemon wedges with you on your trip.

Step 4
The pectin in green apples helps neutralize stomach acids, making them an effective remedy for motion sickness. Juice two green apples. Add juice from half a lemon. Mix and drink before traveling.

Step 5
Crackers
Croutons and crackers are great for calming the stomach and absorbing excess acid. Choose salty over sweet ones.

Step 6
Olives contain tannins that reduce the production of saliva in the mouth and reduce nausea. Just eat a few olives before leaving. Also take olives with you on your trip.
